This Privacy Policy describes how Markets for Makers LLC collects, uses and shares personal information about you, and the choices available to you regarding our handling of that information. It applies to personal information we collect when you interact with us online or offline (collectively, our “Services”).

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a homepage banner or email notification). We encourage you to review this policy whenever you interact with us.

Collection of Information

Personal Information We Collect Directly from You. We collect personal information you provide directly — for example, when you use our website, sign up for our email or text newsletter, participate in a contest, promotion or survey, communicate with us via social media, or request customer support. This may include your name, email address, zip or postal code, billing and shipping address, phone number, the last four digits of your payment card, demographic information, and any other information you choose to provide.

Information About Your Use of Our Services. We collect information about the products you purchase or express interest in.

Personal Information We Collect Automatically, including:

Log Information: browser type, access times, pages viewed, IP address, and referring links.
Device Information: hardware model, operating system and version.
Transaction Information: product details and date of purchase or return.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: we (and our service providers) use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to understand browsing and purchasing behavior, tailor communications, and measure campaign effectiveness. See “Cookies” below.

Personal Information We Collect from Partners and Other Sources, such as national change-of-address databases (to verify mailing addresses) and social media interactions.

Personal Information We Derive, such as inferring your location from your IP address or your interest in a product from your browsing behavior.

Use of Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

Provide, maintain and improve our Services, including your in-market and online shopping experience;
Deliver the products, tickets and Services you request, complete transactions, and send related confirmations and receipts;
Process orders, payments and account adjustments;
Conduct internal research and inform business decisions about our offerings;
Respond to your questions and provide customer service;
Communicate with you — including by email and, where you’ve opted in, by text message — about products, services, offers, promotions, rewards and events;
Manage your account and send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support/administrative messages;
Personalize your experience and provide relevant advertisements or content;
Monitor and analyze trends, usage and activity;
Process contest, promotion and sweepstakes entries;
Detect and prevent security incidents, fraud and illegal activity, and verify identity;
Debug and repair errors and maintain the quality and safety of our Services;
Cooperate with law enforcement and protect the rights, safety and property of Markets for Makers LLC, our customers and others;
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations and respond to governmental requests;

Text Messaging (SMS) Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in — for example at checkout, when purchasing a ticket, or through a sign-up form — we may send you SMS/MMS text messages, which may include:

Transactional messages, such as order and ticket confirmations and event or weather-related schedule/rescheduling updates; and
Marketing messages, such as promotions, discounts and event announcements, if you separately opt in to marketing texts.

Your consent to receive text messages is never a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us, or by contacting us at hello@marketsformakers.com. Reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of marketing texts does not opt you out of non-marketing, transactional texts related to an order or ticket you’ve already placed, where permitted by law.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in/opt-out status with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your phone number with service providers who send text messages on our behalf (such as our SMS/texting platform), solely to operate our texting program — not for those providers’ independent marketing use. See “Sharing of Personal Information” below and our Terms of Service for more detail.

Sharing of Personal Information

We may share personal information:

With vendors, consultants and other service providers who need it to work on our behalf — for example, companies that assist with web hosting, shipping and delivery, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer service, analytics, and marketing and advertising (including our SMS/text messaging platform, solely to send messages on our behalf);
In response to a legal request, or as otherwise required by law, regulation or legal process;
If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of us or any third party;
In connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing or transfer of all or part of our business;
With our current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and other commonly owned/controlled companies;
With our lawyers and other professional advisors, where necessary to obtain advice or protect our business interests;
By publicly posting your product review or other user content you submit, at our discretion; and
With your consent or at your direction.

If you purchase apparel on our website, our e-commerce partner, Printful Inc., collects personal information directly from you to facilitate ordering and international shipping. Printful’s handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy: https://www.printful.com/policies/privacy.

We do not sell, rent or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes, under any circumstance.

Advertising & Analytics

We engage third parties to serve advertisements on our behalf and provide analytics. These entities may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser, pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and conversion information, which may be used to analyze data, gauge content popularity, deliver targeted advertising, and better understand your online activity. This choice must be renewed on each device and browser you use.

We may also work with third parties (such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) to serve customized ads on their platforms. You can generally opt out by adjusting your account settings on those platforms.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was collected and any other permissible related purpose — for example, retaining transaction details and correspondence until the applicable claims period has expired.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our Services. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will work to delete it from our records.

Your Choices

Managing or Deleting Your Account. You may update, correct or delete your account information at any time by logging in and visiting “My Account,” or by contacting us as described in “Contact Us” below. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including cached or archived copies for a period of time.

Opting Out of Promotional Communications. You can opt out of promotional communications at any time:

Emails: follow the unsubscribe instructions in the email, or contact us at hello@marketsformakers.com.
Text messages: reply STOP to any text message we send, or contact us at hello@marketsformakers.com. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. See “Text Messaging (SMS) Communications” above for full detail.

Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may continue to send non-promotional messages, such as those about your account, an order, or a ticket you’ve purchased.

Cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default; you can typically set your browser to remove or reject them, though this may affect site functionality.

Photography and Videotaping. By entering our markets you understand you may be photographed, filmed or videotaped, and you grant Markets for Makers LLC the unqualified, perpetual right to use your likeness or recording for broadcast, exhibition or any legitimate use, without compensation, as described further in our Terms of Service.

Data Transfers. Markets for Makers LLC operates in the U.S. and does not currently have operations elsewhere. If that changes, we will take steps to ensure your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions where we process it.

Residents of Europe

If you reside in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area (“EEA”), Markets for Makers LLC is responsible for your personal information when you use our Services.

Legal Basis for Processing. We process your personal information: as necessary to fulfill our contract with you (e.g., processing payments and providing ordered products); as necessary for our legitimate interests in providing and improving our Services; as necessary to comply with legal obligations; or as consistent with your consent, which you may revoke at any time.

Exercising Your Rights. You may request access to, correction or erasure of, or portability of your personal information, and may object to or request restriction of certain processing, or withdraw consent. California Residents: Your Privacy Rights

California residents are afforded certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq., “CCPA”).

Collection and Use. In the preceding 12 months, we have collected identifiers (including phone numbers), information subject to Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e), characteristics of protected classifications, commercial information, internet/network activity information, geolocation data, professional/employment information, audio/visual information, inferences, and other information that identifies or relates to you, for the purposes described in “Collection of Information” and “Use of Personal Information” above.

Disclosure. In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed identifiers, information subject to Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80, commercial information, internet/network activity information, geolocation data and inferences to vendors, consultants and other service providers performing services on our behalf, as described in “Sharing of Personal Information” above.

Sale of Personal Information. We do not sell personal information for money. We do allow advertising partners to collect identifiers, commercial information, and internet/network activity information to show targeted ads, which CCPA broadly treats as a “sale.” You can opt out via the “Advertising & Analytics” section above or by contacting hello@marketsformakers.com. We do not sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information under any circumstance.

Your Rights. Subject to certain limitations, you may request (1) more information about the personal information we’ve collected, used, sold or disclosed about you, (2) deletion of your personal information, and (3) that we stop selling your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Make requests by emailing hello@marketsformakers.com; we will verify your request (e.g., via your email address and phone number) and, for authorized agents, may require evidence of your authorization.

Notice of Financial Incentives. We may offer discounts, coupons or other benefits for signing up to our marketing emails/texts or joining our loyalty program. Participation involves our collection of identifiers (such as name, email and phone number) and commercial information (such as purchase history). You may opt in by following the applicable sign-up instructions and opt out at any time by contacting hello@marketsformakers.com. The value of your personal information is reasonably related to the value of the offer presented.
